It took a 50 BP cut by the BOC to win the weakest battle (for now at least) The USD was mixed at the start of the NY session with gains vs the NZD, CAD and EUR, and declines vs the JPY. The greenback was near unchanged versus the GBP, CHF and AUD.

US coronavirus count continues to rise but it's tough to get a real-time number
CDC numbers aren't up to date The CDC reports that US coronavirus cases are up to 85,356 compared to 68,440 a day ago. That's a 24% rise. However the numbers don't appear to contain the latest data from New York. Governor Cuomo today released a graph that said 91,029 cases.
